New Jazz Works: Commissioning and Ensemble Development supports the creation and performance of new chamber works by U.S. jazz ensembles, funds activities that extend the life of the work. Funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation
Residency Partnership supports ensembles’ and presenters’ collaborations with community organizations on educational residencies that broaden the understanding and enjoyment of classical, contemporary, jazz, or world chamber music.
Classical Commissioning funds U.S. ensembles ahd presenters of classical, contemporary, and world music or the commissioning and performance of new chamber works by American composers.
CMA/ASCAP Awards for Adventurous Programming recognizes U.S. ensembles and presenters for outstanding and innovative approaches to the programming of contemporary classical, jazz, and world chamber music.
Grant and Award Application Workshops take place via teleconference on Wednesdays, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. ET; dates are subject to change. RSVP
Free Seminar Series
First Tuesdays is a free professional development seminar series offered in partnership with Saint Peter's Church and Midtown Art Commons. The program addresses a wide range of practical issues affecting ensembles and presenters. Workshops are live-streamed and archived on the CMA website. Funding for this series is provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, New York State Council on the Arts, and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.
