Janlyn PR is an independent PR firm established by Jana La Sorte in 1996 to help clients support and grow their business. It specializes in providing expert publicity services - media outreach, materials development, media training, events support - for arts and entertainment clients especially those in jazz and world music.

Founder and president Jana La Sorte has advised clients on PR, marketing and events for over 16 years. The creator of the long-running “Ask the Experts” two-day mentoring panel for the annual IAJE jazz conferences, she has moderated music panels for the CMJ Music Marathon and Telluride jazz festival and has guest lectured at the New School, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Kennedy Jazz Center, George Washington University and Seton Hall University among others.
Formerly a board member of the Telluride Jazz Society, she also served on the board of advisors of the Jazz Foundation of America, for which she provided pro-bono PR services. As a programmer, she co-created and co-produced a New York City music series featuring young jazz artists. She has direct experience with media, having served for three years as the host and producer of an arts TV show in New Jersey and as a college radio DJ for four years. She wishes she never stopped playing her alto saxophone.
