This new ensemble piece by Sarah Weaver is on “Cycles of Awakening” in individual and collective scales, momentary and long-lasting processes, physical and dimensional realms, and as a comprehension of seemingly disparate events. Elements of composition, improvisation, gestural processing, nodal harmony, swing, structural shifting, resonance, and individual performer languages are integrated. The piece is realized as a multiplicity of “Cycles of Awakening” over time and space, as well as a synchrony within the performance.
