About
Get ready for an evening of hot Latin Jazz by 2013 double Grammy nominee Bobby Sanabria, with special guest NEA Jazz Master Candido!
Sanabria’s powerful blend of jazz plus Afro-Cuban and Puerto Rican styles is nominated for Best Latin Jazz Album and Best Instrumental Arrangement, his 6th and 7th Grammy nominations.
Along with the legendary special guest Candido, Sanabria's thrilling ensemble plays in Harlem's home for premier jazz just a few days before the Grammy Awards.
About Special Guest: Candido is the most recorded conga drummer in the history of music, having appeared and recorded with luminary artists in virtually every field of music, from Tony Bennett to Duke Ellington, Tito Puente, and Machito. This 91 year old grandmaster is still wowing audiences, and is an NEA Jazz Master, the highest award given to a jazz musician in the United States.
This "JazzPlus" series engagement is curated and produced by G&J Productions.
