As leader of the Konnakol Jazz Project, he is one of the few jazz musicians of Indian heritage fusing modern jazz with the rhythms of Indian classical music, as well as drawing from a wide variety of modern and classic influences to create a vibrant new sound and style. Luthra has performed the music of his Konnakol Jazz Project worldwide, including in Japan, Australia, Italy, the U.K., and throughout the United States.
