Known as one of Manhattan's premier jazz listening rooms, Bar Next Door is located in historic Greenwich Village, presenting world-class jazz in a truly New York City ambiance.

Founded by bandleader Arun Luthra, the Konnakol Jazz Project fuses jazz with konnakol – South Indian classical music vocalized rhythms. Arun Luthra is one of New York's leading saxophonists and composers as well as an exponent of the art form of konnakol. As leader of the Konnakol Jazz Project, he is one of the few jazz musicians of Indian heritage fusing modern jazz with the rhythms of Indian classical music, as well as drawing from a wide variety of modern and classic influences to create a vibrant new sound and style. Luthra has performed the music of his Konnakol Jazz Project worldwide, including in Japan, Australia, Italy, the U.K., and throughout the United States.
