Bed Stuy held many venues that housed jazz greats like Thelonius Monk, Randy Weston, Miles Davis, Max Roach, Hank Mobley and others. Brooklyn's Paramount Theatre among others held major Jazz Concerts. All eventually changed, and jazz club fizzled out in favor of a different generation of music. Yes, even Uptown and Midtown changed as well.
