Edy Martinez has been one of the most influential musician in the NYC Latin scene since the 60’s until today. Born in Pasto ( Colombia) he came to the US when he was only a teenager. His career began to develop when he was hired by the legendary conguero Ray Barreto as a piano player, arranger and musical director, from there on he has played and arranged for artists such as Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri, Mongo Santamaría, Gato Barbieri, Paquito D’Rivera and Cubop City Big Band ( From Holland ) among others.
