About

Singer ELLEN KAYE’s quintessential New York City origins inform her layered interpretations of many favorite songwriters of the 20th and 21st Centuries as she performs "Ice Wine: songs for dark winter nights" at The Metropolitan Room in January and February.
Kaye has recently released two recordings on newly established label, Moscow 57 entertainment: "3AM...the dogs, the milkman and me" and "Ice Wine: songs for Christmas and dark winter nights." Music by Annie Lennox, Dar Williams, Bruce Springsteen and Rickie Lee Jones, among others, will be on tap. Joining Kaye in her genre-blending repertoire of jazz, blues, folk, and classic American Songbook will be Musical Director and arranger Ethan Fein on Banjo and Guitar; Benjamin Brown: bass; Claire Daly: saxophones, flute, clarinet; Cleve Douglass: vocals; Ricky Martinez; drums. $25 cover and two drink minimum with a "light bite" menu available. All About Jazz needs your support

Donate
All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
