The Ligeti Project

The Ligeti Project is a set of 12 pieces for jazz septet. Based loosely around Gyorgy Ligeti's piano pieces, "Musica Ricercata", the piece is a synthesis of improvisation and chamber music.

Like Musica Ricercata, the 1st movement is composed using only 1 pitch, and each subsequent movement adds in additional pitches, until all 12 are used in the final movement.
