Master guitarist and sometime vocalist Marc Ribot celebrates his 60th birthday year with a one-week residency at the Stone, featuring many of his favorite musicians. The Stone is at the northwest corner of Ave. C and 2nd St. in Manhattan, www.marcribot.com, www.thestonenyc.com/calendar.php, map at www.yelp.com/map/the-stone-new-york. Take the F train to 2nd Ave., use 1st Ave. exit, and walk east to Ave. C, or take the the M-9 or M-21 bus to the corner of Houston St. and Ave. C. No advance ticket sales, so plan to be there a half-hour early.
