About

Local pianist/composer/arranger Matt Savage performs cuts from his new album, Welcome Home, along with lots of other material including originals and standards with a twist. Matt has performed at the Kennedy Center and at some of the most prestigious jazz clubs worldwide, including the Blue Note, Birdland and Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola. He has headlined the famed New Orleans Jazz Festival and the Ottawa International Jazz Festival, among others. He's even performed on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” the “Late Show with David Letterman,” the “Today Show” and NPR’s “Piano Jazz with Marian McPartland.” Matt Savage, is just 19-years-old, attends Berklee College of Music and has released 9 albums. JAZZIZ Magazine touts Matt as “a wildly inventive composer, interpreter and pianist no matter what his age.” JAZZTIMES concurs, labeling Matt “...a schooled, seasoned jazz pianist...” And the Wall Street Journal calls Matt “…a phenomenally talented pianist and composer who demands to be taken seriously on purely musical terms.”...

All About Jazz needs your support

Donate
All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
