Modeled after the swing bands of the 1930s and 1940s, Jazz Band Classic directed by Matt Holman explores the Basie tradition through works by Frank Foster and Neal Hetti, among others. Renowned trumpet soloist Marcus Printup and the world premiere of a commissioned work by Scott Ninmer will also be featured on the program.
