Omura’s band features Glenn Zaleski on piano, Jeff Miles on guitar, Noah Garabedian on bass, and Jay Sawyer on drums (7pm). Virtuoso guitarist Kenji Herbert will then present his own compositions with a unique lineup, including Maeve Gilchrist on harp, the aforementioned Omura on violin, and fellow INCM artist Yuhan Su on vibraphone and malletkat (8:15pm). Su, a rising vibraphone star (so recognized in the recent Critics Poll in Downbeat Magazine), from Taiwan, will round out the evening with a mixed-media collaborative project with the aforementioned violinist Tomoko Omura and Media Artist Poyen Wang (9:30pm).
