This event celebrates the release of Thomas Bergeron's groundbreaking sophomore album "Sacred Feast", a stunning work of jazz chamber music inspired by Olivier Messiaen, featuring the superlative vocalist Becca Stevens. The album is a fitting follow-up to his well-received 2011 debut which (like Messiaen himself), took inspiration from Claude Debussy.

Bergeron has developed an impressive career straddling the jazz and classical/contemporary music worlds. His love and understanding of both genres runs deep, and his recordings are designed to bring together what he finds to be the most powerful qualities from each. This project is not designed to be a scholarly dissertation or academic treatise on Messiaen’s work, but rather to pay tribute to him by using his creations as a jumping off point for new music. ...
