Shipp/Lowe/Cleaver/Ray is a cooperative group that came together in 2017 as the various members realized they had an affinity for playing together. Shipp/Lowe/Cleaver/Ray bring their unique and exciting chemistry to Roulette. A cooperative quartet specializing in free improv, their recent show at (Le) Poisson Rouge was called “a remarkable outing,” and “a testament to their understanding of subtleties and their overall musical experience.” (All About Jazz).
