Stephen Haynes is an improviser knee-deep in Free Music. Known for his orchestra work with Bill Dixon, Cecil Taylor and Tyshawn Sorey, he is along-time organizer committed to building strong local scenes for musicians.Haynes lives in Hartford, CT with his wife, sculptor Brigid Kennedy.
