About
Born in Belgium, raised in Israel and currently residing in Brooklyn, vocalist and composer Tammy Scheffer’s music combines influences of contemporary jazz with her own expressive voice and strong melodies. In her music the voice fills a role similar to a horn player, using improvisation, wordless melodies and blending. Tammy’s debut CD is scheduled to be released in summer 2010 by Inner Circle Music, a label led by renowned saxophonist Greg Osby.
