Terry Burrus a recording artist and touring musician living between the New York and Los Angeles music scene for many years. During the 1930 perhaps even earlier, one didn't always go to Harlem for the Jazz scene. Brooklyn had one as well. Bedford Stuyvesant had on of the largest Jazz neighborhood in around. Bed Stuy held many venues that housed jazz greats like Thelonius Monk, Randy Weston, Miles Davis, Max Roach, Hank Mobley and others. Brooklyn's Paramount Theatre among others held major Jazz Concerts.
