As part of its popular Christ Chapel Chamber Series, The Riverside Church will feature The New American Quartet for “Mystic Autumn,” a program of jazz inspired by the Kabbalah, Judaism’s book of mysticism. Christ Chapel at the Church, 91 Claremont Ave. (bet. 120th & 122nd Sts.), Morningside Heights.

ABOUT THE NEW AMERICAN QUARTET
Formed in 2006 by composer-pianist Mitchell Schechter, saxophonist Greg Wall, bassist Takashi Otsuka, and drummer Jonathon Peretz, The New American Quartet has cultivated a hybrid musical language all their own, by blending Jewish devotional music with modern jazz.
