The New York City based Jochen Rueckert Quartet features German-born drummer Jochen Rueckert, Gilad Hekselman (guitar), Jerome Sabbagh (tenor saxophone), and Orlando LeFleming (bass). The quartet performs Jochen's compositions that contain optimistically swinging sections rich with chords, sprinkled with the occasional 3/8 bar. His quartet has been touring for over seven years. Jochen spent twelve years as part of Marc Copland Trio, and has also been seen with the Kurt Rosenwinkel New Quartet, Nils Wogram's Root 70, and the Melissa Aldana Trio.
