Tomoko Omura Roots Quintet debut at The Jazz Gallery.
About "Roots" project:
Folk music is like a treasure box filled with many great melodies. The mission here is to take Japanese melodies and arrange them into something different, aiming to give a little surprise with a new perspective.
"Roots" quintet:
Tomoko Omura - violin/composition
Jeff Miles - guitar
Glenn Zaleski - piano/keys
Noah Garabedian - bass
Jay Sawyer - drums
2 sets of different music, some new compositions and the music from the album "Roots".
